Our board configurator will help you set all the necessary details to configure and order a Flikka board. Here are some common explanations and hints on how to use it.
• If you need more information about model, sizes, rocker, tail, construction, footstraps width and stance, fins… please check technical descriptions in our boards section or contact us to clear any doubt. You can leave specific field in question empty and it will be filled at a later stage.
• There are three DESIGN LEVELS available:
• Standard (free of charge): selected number of colours for logos and design. Limited options to combine the logos
• Pro (+ 100€): additional colours and options for logos, Flikka circle and design options
• Full custom (+ min 150€): you provide your own graphic design. Instructions can be found below or inside the configurator.
• If you are ordering a CORE LINE board just select the model and size and all the parameters will be filled (and can not be changed). You can order additional fins and a boardbag.
• You can SAVE your selection and continue editing your dream board at a later stage or
• You can ORDER your specified board. There will still be time to set some details. You will receive order confirmation, estimated transportation cost, proforma invoice and payment instructions (bank transfer) via email. At this point your board specification will be fixed and cannot be altered. Production can start once we receive your payment. Expected production time is 5-6 weeks.

Hints
If you are concerned that there are too many selections and you are afraid that you may not choose the right board… No worries. We advise hundreds of windsurfers every year and we have a pretty good idea of what will work in your specific case. Contact us, tell us where you ride and conditions you expect to cover with your board and we will help you find the right choice.

• Dimensions: Please check the specific model/dimensions area with some informative tables.
• Rocker: If you have doubts about which rocker is the right for your model and use please check boards/rocker area for more description. Or consult us.

• Construction: Specific construction influences weight, impact resistance, flex. You can find out more here.
• Stance width: We usually recommend 2 insert positions for back and front. This option gives you three stance distances.
• Regular stance on a Quad/Thruster/Compact board is 42,5/45/47,5 cm, but all other options are possible.
• For smaller riders, we suggest 40,0/42,5/45 cm. For taller riders, we suggest 45,0/47,5/50,0 cm.
• Regular stance on a Freewave/Freestyle/Slalom board is 40,0/42,5/45,0 cm, but all other options are possible.
• Regular stance on a Freeride/Foil is 40,0/42,5/45,0 cm, but all other options are possible.
If you know your stance and don’t need various positions you can choose 1 front and 1 back position and save weight.
How we measure footstrap stance:
•Footstrap width: The default width is 15 cm, but you can choose any size in the area from 12 to 17 cm in 0,5 cm steps.
•Light set: To make your board even more special you can save some additional weight by ordering a LIGHT SET. You get titanium screws for footstraps and carbon plates. It saves you 70 g.
•Air-vent: You can choose between a regular valve screw or a Gore-Tex valve. Both options work fine and it is up to your preference what your board will have. Gore-Tex valve lets air in and out all the time (but not water), so the pressure is always optimal.
• Fin boxes: Isn’t the 5 box option best for all?
Well, no. As we are a custom manufacturer we have no problem adding the fifth box to any board. But we learned from our customers during the last years that there are not that many cases where people mix quad and thruster set up. Usually, they prefer one or another. So, in many cases, 5 boxes set up is rarely used in full extension. But you get additional weight and cost.
If you are ordering a slalom, freeride, compact, thruster, or freestyle board, you can choose Deep Thuttle box for foiling capabilities – restrictions may apply based on board size.
•Fins: based on boxes selection you will be offered a free set of fins to choose from (except slalom and foil where we don’t provide a fin). If you are uncertain check our specification tables inside boards section or left empty and we will provide guidance. You can order additional fins for a cost.
•Transportation cost: Once you configure your board and provide us with a delivery address we will check shipment costs and inform you about the total cost. In the EU it is around 80-100€.
•Graphic design: We offer many options of graphic design that will make your board special and personalized. Please be aware that there are many reasons why a final product may differ from your idea, custom design picture or our online design presentation and please keep some flexibility in your mind how the design will look in real life. There are many factors that add variables that are impossible to fully control: different colour palettes, a colour representation on different screens, effect of overlaping colours, different photo file formats, UV light impact, different sizes of board surface and pads, transformation of picture from 2D to 3D.
